[There's not a great deal left of the wall that had previously connected Ben's room to the hallway, or of most of the contents; the X5 is still standing just to one side of the remains, using his zoom vision to get a better look without trying to pick through it.

His comment, when Rhade arrives, is paired with a swift step to meet him, already looking him over with concern lining the muscles around his eyes.]

There does appear to be an errant toilet lid, but it may be from an adjoining cabin. Are you certain you're alright?

[He rushes down there, staring into the mess that is Ben's room and slowing as he reaches the rubble.]

Well, you'll replace- have to replace... something... [He stops to touch his head, feeling the ache still, but more concerned with Ben.]

I'm unconcerned about it.

[He's a little more upset than he'd realized he would be about his room being destroyed, but in the end, it's still a new concept for him. One he hasn't quite grasped, yet.

On the other hand:]

Of course. I was not the one attacked. ...although I did get into an altercation with the assailant on behalf of Anya Lehnsherr. I am still unharmed.

I thought it was a Magog that came out of him during a flood at first. He... was infested during one, but I thought they were gone when he left. But I realized it was him, and I tried to tell him that he would hate himself for this.

Whatever he turned into said, "I know," and tried to kill me. I just managed to shock him once. I didn't want to kill him. Not again.

I thought it was odd that you were unable to defend yourself.

[Ben doesn't, as a rule, do smug; this might be pride or it might be an extremely rare occurrence of the former, but he seems satisfied with that aspect, anyway.

It fades, sliding towards something only marginally more common, unless one knows him well: protective anger, though mild now.]

Captain Hunt is being held on level Zero, voluntarily by now. He did not seem cognizant of the attacks as or directly after they occurred. He was, as they say, not himself.
