[Private to the Investigation Team | Audio]

Has there been any progress concerning locating Kozak's actual attacker?

I would like two kittens. Both of Sherry's breed, whatever she was, and the supplies to care for them. [Tiny sharp puff-monsters.]

Touko remains the lead suspect.

I haven't found anything else on the network that would imply a motive, so far.

Do you know of any unrecorded altercations?

Personally I don't think she would have done it herself without bragging, but she could have shared his murder habits with someone. I know she associates with both Toto and Junko.

[Barbara nods.]

I'll look through their conversations, too, see if anything comes up. I don't think this is Toto's style, though.

((ooc: immediately following the assumed outcome of this.))

Lark and I were able to follow the trace remains of a scent [blood, primarily] from the location where Kozak was attacked to outside of Ben's cabin, where the original incriminating evidence was found. From there it went on to the female inmate showers.

The scent that Kozak described, and that Lark got off of him, was something he remembered as 'profusely synthetic'. The closest thing Lark found, and followed, led us outside the cabin of Junko Enoshima.

[All three of those locations are, of course, conveniently located on level three, making the trail much easier to follow than if it'd been broken up by the elevator or more than one level of stairs. He's still on that floor, in fact, transmitting from one of the common rooms after Lark had reminded him that his inmate's word and a scent were hardly evidence enough to kick in anyone's door.]

What it all boils down to is that it looks like we've got a new prime suspect. If anyone has anything on her, now might be the time to mention it.

[He still hasn't spoken to Kozak in person for much the same reasons as Rhade, but Rhade had requested to know how he was feeling after he woke up, death toll aside.]

Kozak's doing alright, all things considered. He... [Said with some amusement, in spite of the situation:] He asked me if I was okay.

That makes sense. He cares about you a lot.

I'm glad he is. I just want this taken care of. If she is guilty, what are we going to do?

[Perry just hums, acknowledgement or dismissal or both. Somehow "we got into an argument just before this happened" doesn't seem like the most useful avenue of conversation they could be pursuing, right now.]

Slap her on the wrist and ask her nicely not to do it again. [He grumbles irritably, massaging his temples with one hand. It's about all that Zero amounts to and as far as he's aware she hasn't got a warden to represent or take responsibility for her otherwise. For a fleeting moment he almost misses L.A., and the freedom to hand these cases off to his police contact, were it not for the fact that the deaths there are decidedly more permanent.] What can we do?

This may not be what you want to hear, but I once was an inmate. And as an inmate, we could get away with retribution in ways that wardens couldn't, and we knew it.

She will go to Zero. She will receive her smack on the wrist. But Kozak is a good man with many friends, and not all of them are wardens. And they are the ones that know what they can get away with.

[Rhade may be a warden now, but he's not always a good person.] Unfortunately she'll enjoy anything unpleasant done to her, it seems like.
