Ben, I need to know what happened today.

I need to know if you two have spoken. He's going to be held accountable for someone's murder [and Rhade is very perplexed by this, because Ben doesn't lie], and he's been concerned with how you were going to react when you spoke to him. Did he seem in control of himself?

Would it be possible for you to examine and speak with Ben? Review him for outside influences? Fugue states? I don't believe he is lying to me when he says he was in his room, but considering this ship...

Who here is a competent detective or is experience with forensics, or alternately has an inmate you would trust to assist in an investigation? [He wants to be careful and not get Ben into more trouble.]

He was bleeding from one of his ears. While checking his vitals and searching for external injury, I got some on my hands, and then my shirt.

Yessir. [This had clearly not even occurred to Ben, vague surprise and then a mild eagerness audible in his voice. He sobers back to his original state momentarily though.]

Sandoval said it was a CVI breakdown but I do not know what that means, or if it was a medical issue. There was no sign of attack in the common room, though there was a bottle I presume to be personal effects. I have it in my possession for safekeeping and would like to turn it over at the earliest possible opportunity.

[He would also like to just make some goddamn dinner.]

Alright. Ah... I will give you the key number to my room. Just leave it there before you go to the kitchen, and speak to Doyle as I directed. We should have most of the ingredients prepped by the time you return.
