I'm completely certain that this will be ignored, but with a flood on I would recommend that people refrain from extremely intimate activities or brazen murders until it's over with. We've all seen the worst case scenarios more than once.

...I am noticing that certain things don't seem to... line-up, properly, at the moment. Has anyone else noticed this?

OOC: Rhade is affected. His Barge memories are spotty; he may remember someone as their original self or their alternate self. He vaguely remembers being an inmate even though with his history he has no reason to ever have been. He managed to warn Dylan of the Nietzschean insurrection and both ended up weathering the Long Night together. Now he's actually closer to an inmate than he ever has been in this timeline, because he's never properly dealt with his rationalizing the Battle of Witchhead (where he had to participate in the destruction of thousands of his own people) and starting to act a little bizarrely towards Magog-infested Dylan. Canon point is early Season 2 AU.

[It's fairly useless. He can be commanded to call people by their names for a short period of time but without fail, he reverts to sir and ma'am within 24 hours. He can't help it and he doesn't want to. He doesn't want anything.]

I will wait here until you are prepared to speak with me, Gaheris. [It still sounds like sir.]

[The file is the same size as it once was, only instead of detailing a life outside of Manticore it's excruciating detail of a life that's barely a life at all. There's a note about his escaped unit but that subject X5-493 turned back at the last minute, was recaptured and successfully reindoctrinated. He's been relentlessly trained and fine tuned for twenty-one years and has restricted clearance for field duty due to the 490 series' penchant for disobedience and this X5's habit in particular of wild fantasy. There's a note about successful closure over the matter of a deity-like figure, and a note to be vigilant for any mention of a Blue Lady.

X5-493 is proficient in several forms of hand to hand combat, cleared for use of all weapons both missile and edged, and tactical strategy; he was instrumental in the recapture of X5-599 and the eventual elimination of X5-452, among others.]

He quickly turns off the feed for a moment.] This isn't my Ben. [Isn't it? He remembers an assignment to investigate many creative works, to contemplate them. But there are no mentions of panicked murders, the Nomlies, of Kozak. Of Ladd.

Why does Ladd bother him so much.

[X5-493 isn't terribly put off by essentially being hung up on. He doesn't care, his warden will find him again when he wants to. He has tasks to keep him busy in the interim.

His reply is calm and unfazed when Rhade comes back. The concern doesn't confuse or interest him - it's not important to him. If it should be, Rhade will explain it.]
