Thank you. I would never have returned in the first place if I didn't know that people like you would be there. If you have something special that you would like to be kept safe, I'd like something to take back to the Collection with me. [He wants keepsakes, and keepsakes that'll be preserved for a very long time.]

I do want to see you again. Come find me when you have the chance. The Barge has been helpful in giving me that chance.

[Rhade has cleared out the books from his room. The swords are gone from their cases. It's lonely, most of the things have been sent on, and even with all the furniture it still looks sparse when he opens the door.

Still, the moment he does he takes Dylan by two handfuls of shirt and pulls him in without giving him much time to say anything or have much of a look around.]

[Dylan lets himself be pulled in, far more focused on the man than the decor.

He wonders if he's allowed to kiss Rhade. They hadn't completely discussed that part of their situation yet.]

[He doesn't really wait for a discussion. He moves his hands up to the sides of Dylan's bruised face and he kisses him again, as earnestly as he had in Zero.

He pulls back an inch, and almost threateningly he says-] If you don't find me, I will find you. [Because one of them had to be able to bend the universe to their will, and both of them together could be unstoppable. Thankfully Rhade's ambition only went so far as not losing anyone else he cared about.]

[Well that's that discussion had. Non verbally. That works for Dylan, and he pulls Rhade close while they kiss.]

You'd better. And since you've got two time travellers in the family, there's no excuse.

I won't give up. Not this time. [He looks Dylan in the very bruised face.]

I wish you could come with me now. [And before Dylan can answer, he's kissing him again, this time gripping at his collar.]

[His mouth was open to answer when suddenly it's full of Rhade lips instead. He accepts this, but thinks it's only fair if Rhade opens his mouth, too, and takes steps to encourage this. When the kiss ends, he finishes the sentence he only barely began.]

I wish I could too.

But I've got a universe to save and a crew to keep alive. But when that's done, boy am I looking forward to retirement. [And if retirement just happens to occasionally include special ops-ing into high security museums to steal art (to protect it from destruction and looting as civilization collapses), well, every retiree needs a few hobbies.]

[Still holding to his collar he leans in close so their lips are nearly grazing, and in a breathy, needy voice he whispers-]

Promise me you won't try to kill me again.

Never again. [Dylan whispers back.] Not ever. I promise.

[Good enough for him. His ribs are still aching, and his head still hurts, but it doesn't matter. This is their last chance for some time, possibly years. So he pulls Dylan towards the desk because the bedroom is too far, not letting go or stopping kissing him the entire time.

He has a feeling he'll be complaining a lot, but he will be more upset if he doesn't.]]
