I have several requests. For one, the lunch shift is no longer covered by a warden supervisor and we will require a volunteer. For another, I used to run drills aboard my ship. I know there are a few soldiers or former military here and convenient obstacle courses on which to train. If there are willing participants, I would like to start running some weekly drills again. [He may have other intentions that he wants to use this for as well.] I would like to give the training simulator some real use.
[And another thought.] I- [And he's thinking of requesting company again for that night. The network erroring made him feel a little out of sorts in a very lonely Nietzschean way. He decides ultimately not to, however.] -I suppose that will be it.

[Since she's suitably matriarch-like and doesn't seem to be lacking in experience, he has a question for her.] May I ask you something? Depending on your number of courtiers in the past I thought you may have some reasonable advice.

I bet you do.
Here, let me help you with that.
[And he grabs Rhade's wrist and is going to try to pull him forward enough to push him with his legs up and over Dylan's supine form. And get *Rhade* on the floor. Switch their positions, as it were.]

How'm I doing so far?
[He's going to go for a wrestling pin.]

He catches him in a stand-off, wondering how he can disentangle himself before Dylan works out a way to nullify the threat at his throat.
But then there's that vague fear again, and he blinks, wondering if he's violating that trust with a threat that could be very real. He remembers one of those breaking during the final fight, the pain shooting up his arm, ignored as he did what he needed to do.
Instead of maintaining the threat, he opts to risk losing. One win isn't worth a bigger loss- seeing that much of his former self in himself. He arcs up hard and tries to buck Dylan way, pulling his arms away from his throat.]

So he's surprised when, instead of pointing out Dylan's "death" he gives up his advantage and continues to fight. Dylan is rocked off balance by Rhade's quick motion.]

The moment of intensity is broken by a Vedran swear and Rhade bouncing back to his feet all over again.]

Back where we started.
[Not just location, but emotionally as well. A little uneasy about the fight and the implications. Then he grins and pulls himself up on top of one of the obstacles.]
How about we change the challenge? First one who falls off loses.
[Still sparring and still a physical challenge and a competition, but a little less like trying to kill each other. They made it through one round intact and sane, and one round is probably enough to start with. Begin small and build up.]

...That sounds like a reasonable enough challenge.
[And he goes to climb up- only he doesn't. Mid climb he grabs Dylan's leg to pull him back down. He decides he can do it again in earnest when he's done taunting- it helps get rid of the nervousness he had before.]
